How is alimony increased?
Courts usually specify in the decision that alimony will increase every year by the annual change in the consumer price index (CPI) or producer price index (PPI). Where the decision contains such a clause, the increased amount can be enforced directly.
Changed circumstances
If the financial circumstances of the parties change significantly, either party may apply to the court to increase, reduce or end alimony (Turkish Civil Code, Art. 176/4).
